Art Activity - Halloween - Pumpkin

It is Halloween!  Here is a fun, simple and decorative activity that children of all ages can enjoy. Some assistance may be needed depending on the individual's fine motor skills.

Materials: Construction Paper (orange and green), scissors and a mini stapler

1. Cut orange construction paper into 1 inch strips

2. Cut green construction paper into 1 inch strips

3.  Roll the two ends of the orange construction paper to the center and slide a piece of green construction paper between the two ends.  Then staple twice where the construction paper meets.

4.  Loop the top of the green construction paper and staple to secure the loop.

5. Finally cut the excess construction paper from the middle of your newly made pumpkin.

You've made your very own Halloween pumpkin.  Make as many as you would like and decorate your environment to celebrate this fun day!
